The Astroturf facility in Banteer is located behind the community centre and the national school. It is the only of its kind in Duhallow at present. The facility itself measures 42m x 35m.
The facility was completed in early 2009. The Astroturf employs up to 8 people with part-time and full time jobs. The recent addition of a gym provided even more jobs to the community.
